ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
One of the biggest department in the college established in the year 1968 started with two main stream courses MPC & CBZ as B.SC Under Graduate Courses. Later on to enhance the skills of students for the societal changes offering four self financed courses namely MCCs, CBMb, CZBc and CBAc. Now the department running a total of 6 courses under B. Sc Chemistry as one of the subject. In addition to that the department has launched a self financed Post Graduate Course as M. Sc Organic Chemistry in the year 2008. Recently the department has also research center with research supervisors. The faculty was well trained and experienced with good academic profile and qualified in State/National level Exams and also has research experience and published papers in UGC-Care List journals.
VISION:
The department prepares students for the changing world. We strive to contribute to a chemically literate society through teaching with class rooms, labs and with industry oriented curriculum leading to responsible chemists.
MISSION:
To integrate academics, research and entrepreneurship skills to address present and future challenges of the society and industry.
