The Telugu Department was started in 1984. It had groups like B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, (MPC) B.Sc (BZC) etc. There were Special Telugu with combinations of Special Telugu, Geography, Tourism, (TGT), Special Telugu, Economics, Political Science (TEP) and there were 30 seats in them. In 2024-25, Telugu Major started with 40 seats. Since 2008, MA Telugu is also in the Women's College with 30 seats. There are three posts in the Telugu Department, two of them are doctorates. In the academic year 2022, "Research Guideship" also came to our college and it came to 6 departments, of which Telugu Department is one. In the academic year 2024, a "Research Project" was sanctioned to the Telugu Department through Nagarjuna University from "RUSA".
